We collect the bare minimum needed to make the app work, store it where it belongs, and never sell it. Here's the detail.

The short version

Deskbound is designed to be a quiet app on your phone. We collect the bare minimum needed for the product to work, store it where it belongs, and never sell it to anyone.

What we collect

On your device. Your daily plan, round history, streaks, and settings are stored locally on your phone. If you uninstall the app, that data goes with it.

On our servers (only if you sign in). If you create an account to use the friends leaderboard, we store your email, a display name you choose, and aggregate counts (rounds completed per day) so the leaderboard can render. We do not store individual squat timestamps on the server.

Diagnostics. When the app crashes, your phone may send anonymous crash reports to us via Apple or Google. These contain no personal data and we use them only to fix bugs.

What we do not collect

Location data
Contacts, photos, or any other phone-level data
Health data from Apple Health or Google Fit
Advertising identifiers
Behavioral analytics for marketing purposes

How we use it

To run the app and sync the leaderboard if you opt in
To respond to support emails if you write to us
To debug crashes via aggregated, anonymous reports

That is the entire list.

Nobody. We do not sell, rent, license, or share your data with advertisers, brokers, or partners. The only exception is if a court legally compels us, in which case we will fight it where reasonable and tell you if we’re allowed to.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Deleting your account removes your server-side data within 30 days. Local data is yours to delete by uninstalling the app.

If you’re in the EU, UK, or California, you also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, and complain to your local data authority. Email us and we’ll handle it.
